Barbaro Sanfilippo was born in Paternò (Ct) on 05/01/1953. He starts working in various restaurants and hotels in Catania, including the restaurant "La Siciliana", also mentioned in the Guide Michelin. After a collaboration with Gaetano Li Greggi at Savini in Milan, he comes back to his native Sicily and became Chef at the Central Palace of Catania. He continues his culinary research in Italy and abroad, collaborating with great chefs like Stanziani and Zanella. He arrives at the Grand Hotel Duca d'Este in 1995.
